Felton started his professional DJ career in 1977 in Detroit at a bar called the Bronze Kitten. Back then it wasn’t called house music, it was called progressive. Felton held many residencies over the years, but at The Dancery he started to play marathon sets Thursday through Sunday nights. Some of these nights he would play from 4pm till 4am and the venue would host 1,500 dancers nightly. Years later he would become the owner of a club called Better Days hidden away in Midtown. His most recent residency was a 5 year run at the Works in Detroit. These nights featured a wild mix of everything from deep House to hard Techno.
